This blog has been the hardest to write for me, the challenge stems from trying to put sum up weeks worth of experiences in a few paragraphs. Coming to London, England has always been a dream of mine ever since I was little, and now I have spent the last 8 weeks living and working in London. I’ve seen movies and pictures of London but now actually being in London it has beat my expectations. Other than traveling to touristy places, I would spend my days working 9 to 5 at Proseeders.
So, how did I get to work at Proseeders?
Well, I was able to make my way across the pond with 40 other interns, through my university’s global internship program. I am currently a Junior (3rd year) at The Ohio State University studying Marketing and minoring in International business. While at Proseeders, I had two other interns from my university, Jacob and Jealynn and they would agree we have gained a lot from our internship.
My internship at Proseeders has taught me more than I could have imagined. As a Commercial Assistant intern, I feel my duties were diverse and beneficial to both me and Proseeders. My daily tasks at Proseeders included thorough research into business development and current trends in the world of influencer marketing. I also had the opportunity to assist with the Proseeders social media accounts, allowing me to also improve my digital communication skills.
From my time at Proseeders, I have learned how data driven marketing can be, especially in influencer marketing sector, and to not be afraid to ask questions. The two biggest takeaways from my internship are you can have fun at work while being productive, and the second is understanding how important influencer marketing is to so many brands.
In the great words of Paddington Bear, “In London, everyone is different, and that means anyone can fit in.” I agree with Paddington and would recommend interning in London and especially at Proseeders.
